About This Article
A half-up half-down hairstyle is a creative way to mix up your look. First, get hold of the top of your hair, starting right above your ears. From here, you can pull your hair into a simple ponytail. Or, do a smaller high ponytail for a more playful look. Alternatively, twist the top half of your hair into a messy bun. Use bobby pins and hairspray to hold your bun in place. If you have more time and fancy something special, split the top half of your hair in half down the middle. Then, French braid each side until you reach the back of your head. Let the rest of the hair hang down loose for a more voluminous look. For more tips from our Beauty co-author, including how to create a half-up half-down braided halo, read on!
